Christina Braid

Educator. Mentor. Lifelong Learner.

For nearly two decades, my life’s work has centered around supporting children and families through some of their most important seasons of growth. Whether in the classroom, alongside new parents, or in communities around the world, I have always believed that learning happens best when children feel safe, seen, and deeply connected to the world around them.

Over the past eight years, I have had the privilege of teaching in public elementary schools, helping young learners build strong foundations in literacy, confidence, and curiosity. Before entering the classroom, I spent many years living in Peru and working with families as a birth worker and educator. Those experiences deepened my appreciation for different cultures, languages, and the many ways children learn and thrive.

As a bilingual educator and ESOL-endorsed teacher, I am passionate about helping children develop not only academically, but also as confident communicators and global citizens. I believe that language opens doors to connection, understanding, and a broader view of the world.

Why I Left the Traditional Classroom

While I loved teaching in the traditional classroom, I often wished for more opportunities to slow down, nurture each child’s natural curiosity, and create meaningful experiences that honored their unique strengths and interests.

Jahmil and I taught alongside one another for many years in public schools, sharing the same vision for what education could be. We dreamed of creating a space where children could receive individualized support, explore their interests, and develop a genuine love of learning. That shared vision led to the creation of Treasure Coast Learning Studio.

I believe that education should be personal, hands-on, and rooted in real-life experiences. My goal is to create an environment where children can explore, ask questions, make connections, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Through individualized instruction, creative exploration, language, and meaningful relationships, I hope to help children grow academically, emotionally, and socially.

Beyond the Classroom

Outside of teaching, I am a proud mother to an incredible son who inspires me every day. Having lived abroad for many years, I developed a deep appreciation for different cultures, languages, and ways of life that continue to shape both my perspective and my teaching.

I love traveling, gardening, spending time in nature, and helping children discover the wonder in everyday experiences. Whether we’re planting seeds, reading stories, practicing Spanish, or exploring the world around us, I believe that some of the most meaningful learning happens through curiosity, connection, and exploration.
